Maslow and Rogers

The psychologist that I chose for this essay is Abraham Maslow. Maslow was a psychologist who is renowned for developing the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs which is one of the leading theories in psychology although it is also applicable in a wide array of fields in the modern world. The theory was developed by Maslow in 1943 through a paper that was titled A Theory of Human Motivation. The theory has been compared with other human developmental psychology theories from the past and has yielded many similarities that allow humanism to be understood in a clearer manner (Arkes, & Garske, 2015).
