In the last century, there have been many developments in the evolution of mass media. These developments are what have led to the technologies that are present in mass media today. One of the major developments was in the 1950s when the printing press was first introduced. The printing press meant that it was easier to circulate new through newspapers and other publications.

Another huge development was the popularization of electronic games and entertainment in the 1970s. Consoles were built that could be used at homes and this contributed to the entertainment industry that we have today.
