The Pedlar is a piece of art from Netherlands created by Hieronymus Bosch from circa back in the year1500.It bears the classical style based on his main theme of the Iniquity of mankind. It utilizes oil on panel as medium.
The painting is warm, a bit surreal but with an unexplored landscape in the background. A man leaves a pitiful looking house, he has a wounded and bandaged left leg, and his right knee can be seen from the torn trouser. He carries a bag with a cat’s skin hanging at the side while the leg of a swine pops from the front of his court.
