Memory and Human Behavior
Memory acquisition involves different areas of the cortex, depending on the type of information presented. Our ability to remember events and how to perform tasks affects our ability to work, interact with others, and understand the world around us. To complete this discussion, answer the following question about memory’s contribution to how we perceive the world:
- Assume you are building an electronic learning and memory system for a robot—is there anything that you would change from the human design? Why or why not?

Human Memory
Given the level of development in contemporary technology, there has always been a chance that cloning and robotics may end up developing humanoids with potentially sentient abilities. In particular, giving a robot the ability to remember and some form of memory akin to the human memory would give the robots the ability to recall events and potentially evoke the same emotions experienced at the time. Notably, if I was given an opportunity to develop a robot brain, I would not change anything from the human design. In any case, I would improve the system of the robot brain to reflect the human brain.
