Sojourner Truth, “Ain’t I A Woman?”(1851)

The article Ain’t I A Woman? It’s a speech by Sojourner Truth published in 1851, the speech was delivered (1797-1883). The author was born in slavery and became one of the greatest advocates of human rights. Speaker claims despites of her being a woman she has the same ability as a man, she is campaigning for gender equality. She says she has muscles just like men. As for intellect women are not less endowed hence pleas for equality for women not to be troubled.
