The idea or the topic that was most interesting and surprising to me, is Teotihuacan and Toltecs. These are very significant ancient cities whose existence has had a substantial impact on Mexico until today. Teotihuacan is an olden Mesoamerican city situated in a Mexican sub-valley, that is positioned in Mexico state.
