Describe the mythological centaur. What did it look like? What did it represent?

Centaurs are creatures in the Greek mythology which are half human and half horse. Those creatures have a body of a horse and head and arms of a man. These creatures are said to have been representing barbarism and also unbridle chaos (Mellard 1979).
