Nam June Paik
Nam June Paik was a Korean American artist that was present from the 20th of July 1932 to the 29th of January 2006. The artist was involved in different varieties of media, and the sole founder of video art. Furthermore, he was appreciated for the use of the term electronic superhighway; he applied the term in telecommunication aspects through his artistic works. Paik was born in 1932 in Korea but flee from the nation because of the war in Korea. Hence, Paiks’ family migrated to Hong Kong and later to Japan. Nam June Paik graduated six years later from the University of Tokyo, after he migrated to Japan. In the University of Tokyo in Japan, Paik made a great step ahead after he wrote a thesis on the composer Arnold Schoenberg.
