Abstract

In any healthcare institution, employees and employers seek certain goals. Employees seek to satisfaction and remuneration that is fair and a reflection of the services they offer. On the other hand, employers seek great performance from all the employees. For these goals to be met, there must be a competitive compensation program within the institution.

Introduction

In any healthcare institution, compensation programs are established to remunerate and reward employees for the various services that they render to the institution. The aim of this paper is to assess the goals that a compensation program should aim to achieve. It will also explain some of the ethical dilemmas that may be observed when developing such a compensation program.
