Employees who receive training will improve their skills, gain knowledge, and perform their daily work more effectively and efficiently. In turn, those employees tend to stay engaged, remain motivated, improve performance, and help the organization stay competitive.
However, the implementation of the proper strategy for employee learning is a challenge for most organizations. In the majority of organizations there is a diversity of learners, and different employees learn better through different learning styles. Such leaning styles need to be taken into consideration when planning a training program.

The training and development plan that is being pursued in week three is one that will be critical towards enhancing my skill-level and other aspects that may come into play at the organizational level. Several goals and objectives need to be met by the training and development plan that is to be created. One of the main goals is to ensure that everyone gains new knowledge and skills. New knowledge includes new strategies, learning about new tools, and methods that can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of various duties and tasks that are undertaken by employees in the workplace. If new knowledge is acquired, employees may be best-placed to do their job in a better manner.
The second objective is to influence the perceptions of employees within the workplace towards change and learning. Organizational change is inevitable in any firm or industry (Allenby, & Jenkins, 2013). As a result, employees need to be understand the need to adopt changes as and when they happen at the workplace. The training and development plan will also sensitize employees on the importance of learning and how it can gradually create unprecedented success across the organization.
Another objective of the training and development plan is to communicate the importance of training at the organizational level. Without such communication taking place, it is impossible for employees to understand the manner in which they can contribute to the training and development processes that have been put in place (Allenby, & Jenkins, 2013). The training and development plan should also aim at aligning the employee goals with those of the organization. Without such alignment being in place, it is close to impossible for the training and development processes to be a success.
