- PWR (Pressurized light water reactors)
Advantages
- The PWR are considered to be quite stable and thus will operate with less amount of power put in as the temperatures significantly rises
- PWR reactors can operate and function with minimal fissile material and the importance of this is that it reduces the chances of the reactor getting out of control
- For PWR because they are enriched with uranium, ordinary water can be used rathr than the heavy one which is notably expensive
