Solution Preview

According to Herbert, 2014, Italy started counting its GDP figures differently and garnered the perception that it was no longer facing an economic recession. By including illegal revenues, the country’s economy boosted the gross product domestic figures. While the politicians celebrate, the perceptions are more different in reality given the fact that these activities have been in existence (Herbert, 2014). With their current perception, the country is merely avoiding economic recession on paper that is counting the illegal activities as being productive that they were previously.
