There are many concepts of lean systems and quality management that are used in various production processes in the modern world. Quality management refers to a management policy that ensures that the quality of its products and services are consistent at all times. There are four major concepts or components that are discussed within quality management. They include quality improvement, quality assurance, quality planning, and quality control. Apart from ensuring that quality is improved across the organization, the framework also aims at improving the processes that bring about enhanced quality. When quality is consistent from one period to another, consumers are satisfied as this creates an assurance about the products and services that are produced by the company.
