When looking over the case to allow his daughters to use the company vans for personal use I would also advise them not to use them for a few different reasons. The first is any risk involved when using the vans outside of company use. They can be on the hook financially and face damage to the business if involved in an accident which can ruin the business’s reputation(Landes, 2021). There are a lot of risks involved and with the daughters not really employees it can be more of a headache if something were to happen to the vans. While there are a lot of benefits such as advertising and recruitment appeal for the company if he allows employees to use them the same way(Davis, 2023).The risk to me outweighs all the pros to letting his daughters use the vans. One personal example I have with employees doing this is bad driving in the company van. When I worked for Jimmy Johns we had a driver get called on due to reckless driving it hurt the employee, and the store by his actions. The same could be said for his daughters if they were to do it and hurt the future business of the flower store.
