Introduction
Age discrimination is the act of treating employees or job applicants unfavorably because of the age class or category they belong. Many people belonging to the age of 40 years and above are the most affected by this menace of age discrimination. Although people belonging to the age of 40 above are protected by the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) of 1967 from employment discrimination, this menace has not yet been wholly mitigated (Gregory 2001). In the employment field, there are so many discrimination cases about age which occur but they are not exposed to the public.
