Philosophy of Nursing

Nursing for me is one of the most valuable professions when it comes to the lives and wellbeing of society. All the individuals involved in this career as registered, family, ICU or surgical nurses implement their passions, skills and knowledge to save patient’s lives through psychology, physiology and science. Working in an emergency room as an intern nurse, I have come across people in pain hoping to feel better after leaving the hospital. A good nurse is one who takes all things into consideration to ensure he/she offers the appropriate medical assistance as required in the situation (Forss, Ceci & Drummond, 2013). Nursing is a calling whereby only the passionate and dedicated individuals can make a positive impact on their immediate society in terms of healthcare.
