Introduction
In recent years, physician-assisted suicide (PSD) has been a hot topic among physicians. This acts questions the right of physicians to perform assisted deaths to those patients that have a condition that is putting them in grave pain. Most people argue that PSD is ethical comparing it to euthanasia. Notably PSD is different from Euthanasia by physician’s participation. The former is conducted through indirect involvement of the physician who provides mere guidelines on how to end life. However, the latte involves direct involvement of the doctor who injects the death dose. In most countries, PSD is considered to be illegal though a patient might request a physician to help them end their life.
