Psychotic disorders
DQ1 Review the vignettes located in the topic five materials and then diagnose Robin and Becky with a psychotic disorder. What are the justifications for your diagnosis? Include differential diagnoses that were considered and discarded.
Psychotic disorders otherwise referred to as psychosis are serious mental illnesses. They interfere with the normal thinking process of a patient in addition to the way patients perceive things. The most common symptoms of psychosis in patients include and may not be limited to delusions, hallucinations, and a disorderly thought pattern (Gaebel and Zielasek 9). Delusions are false beliefs held by patients in relation to the things around them.
