Introduction
Public assistance refers to the system providing or offering welfare services, put in place or instituted by the federal and state government. The services provided by public support are directed to the disabled people, the elderly and the families having a low income. This assistance enables the targeted beneficiaries to survive and live well in the current economy. However, not every person who meets the poverty requirement is eligible for this assistance. This is because according to traditional philosophical American view, public assistance should benefit those who deserve.
