Political Socialization Essay
Introduction
Politics is an integral part of a country’s development. Responsible citizens must, therefore, take part in electing political leaders that will facilitate a country’s development. The process through which people form their ideas on politics is called political socialization. Children begin learning about politics right from home. The first political figure they identify with is the President; at least he appears on the media almost every day. After the President, children also recognize the police because they often wear the uniform and are close to people.
