It should include an analysis of the factors that contribute to the problem. Avoid the use of too many direct quotes. A minimum of 8 references from peer reviewed professional journals is required. This section requires a minimum of 2 pages. • Prevention and Resource Strategies: Strategies offered must be research supported with appropriate citations in the text of your paper. This is where your Web Resources can be used. Resources necessary to address the problem can be local, state or national. There should be a clear delineation between primary (education), secondary (interventions), and tertiary (treatment) prevention strategies. These strategies have been addressed in other community health classes. A minimum of three (3) web resources is required for this section. Problem Statement

Cancer is among the most common cause of deaths in the United States. More than 12.7 million people are diagnosed with cancer recording 7.6 million deaths globally. The figures are projecting higher and therefore need for governmental and institutional intervention. According to the 2008 statistics, 56 percent of new cases and 65% deaths occur in developing countries. However, the United Stets also records a trending increase in cases of cancer prevalence. Therefore, the world records 1.6 cases of mortality caused by cancer disease (Ferlay, et al, 2013).
