History
The Battle of Passchendaele is one of the worst experiences in Canada. The battle that was fought in 1917 encapsulates the First World War and is also called the Third Battle of Ypres. The war lasted three months and three days with different attacks on the German troops. During this time, Douglas Haig who was a senior officer in the British army launched the attack in an attempt to break through Flanders.
