By the end of their project, students will be able to design their own prevention and or treatment initiative for a specific community population. Students will write an APA reference style, 5 pages (double-spaced) paper. A separate Reference page is not included as a part of the page limit.
Project Number III Final Program Recommendations
Now that you have studied the disease and population in the community and the various programs in the community, the task is for you to design your own prevention and or treatment initiative for the community population. In other words, you are beginning to design your own program.
In this paper you will include:
a) Based upon the first two written projects, what strengths or weaknesses currently exist in the community approaches that attempt to address your selected disease?
b) Based upon the identified weaknesses or gaps, give a general overview of the programs you propose.
c) What is the chosen population and why have you chosen that subset of your larger population?
d) If you were going to market this program, to whom would you market the program to and what marketing techniques would you use? Provide a rationale for your marketing strategy.
e) Share at least two outcomes that you would propose to measure the success of the program and how you envision that this would be evaluated.
f) Outline any systems change that would need to be implemented to sustain this program.
g) Share any conclusions or at least two lessons learned from these projects that you will consider or use in your future public health career.
