Proposal for Case Study on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

OVERVIEW

Proposal for Case Study on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
To successfully present your chosen case study, a concise case study proposal is important. The case study proposal should clearly indicate what you intend to discuss: what pathology or syndrome of the immune system that is addressed in this course you would like to build your project on. You can search through the modules (1 to 8) and select any of the addressed disorders to elaborate on. Keep in mind that you can always reach out to your instructor to confirm if your topic of choice is relevant to the material addressed in this course.
Completing this task will equip you with practical knowledge on how to prepare for a case study presentation. You will then have developed a solid foundation early in the course that you will build on through the weekly assignments leading to the final presentation. This skill will be an asset as you work towards a career in the biomedical sciences where you will often be required to
make a case presentation on a disease using real life examples.

INSTRUCTIONS
• For this assignment you must submit your topic along with a brief proposal, describing your plan for the final paper and presentation.
• This ½-page proposal does not include the title page and references
• Incorporate at least 2 scholarly (potential) references for your work in current APA format. Any sources cited must have been published within the last five years. Acceptable sources include the textbook, peer-reviewed journal articles or reviews and
the Bible.

Once you have picked and submitted your topic, your instructor will send you a Case Study on the topic to help you get started. Read this Case Study and then search the textbook for an additional case study on the topic you have chosen. You will not develop your project on the case study received, rather your project will be based on the case study you choose. The case study sent to you is only meant to help put you in the appropriate direction to start your own research. If there is no case study on your topic in the textbook, you should do an internet search for case studies or case reports on the topic you have chosen. In the meanwhile, in preparation for your Case Study: Outline and Bibliography Assignment, begin a literature search for a review of the topic you have chosen.
