Other Disorders – Multiple Types

For this Module we are looking at “Other Disorders” not yet discussed, specifically looking at disorders with psychotic features.

After you have completed your readings (Classification xv – xviii & pp 87 – 118), post a reflection on the following:

There are multiple Psychotic Disorders and classes listed in this section of readings. Were you surprised by any of them? Why is it important to understand the difference between Schizophrenia and another disorder with psychotic symptoms? Explain some of these differences with your answer.

Other Disorders, BiPolar and Depressive type

From your readings (pp 123 – 154, BiPolar Related disorders & 155 – 175, Depressive Related Disorders), pick two of the disorders presented. Define and describe them, using terminology from the DSM. (Please cite the DSM in your text). The find another resource for each disorder, cite it, and summarize it. The objective here is to complete additional research on disorders, explore the different presentations, and understanding differences even among similar disorders. Be sure your post captures those objectives!
