The Conflict Theory
Calls on equality have shaped social discussions among societies in history, but have never quite achieved the desired success. For instance, irrespective of achieving in the war for American civil rights, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 may have granted people the necessary legal protection, but the ratio of men to women in various leadership position remains skewed against the minorities. If the struggle for equality were a success, there would be no minority groups since the different parties would have achieved the required success in the various environments. Consequently, the limited success and level of progress experienced in the contemporary society alludes to the importance and indispensability of some level of inequality, based on which the different groups compete, to achieve the necessary progress within their environment.
