Heroism

In our current world, heroism is perceived to be an act of confidence and self-belief. Notably, when individuals put their lives on the line for the sake of securing the lives of others, they are referred to as demigods. Since way back, a heroic character is associated with eminent courage, selflessness, humility, patience and caring among a number of noble qualities.

Particularly, poems have been effective pieces of literature that portray and tell heroic stories. Beowulf, a hero of the Geats people helped the king of the Danes king Hrothgar in conquering an irritating monster named Grendel.
