According to Palmer, the real menace of communism is depicted by their ideal for war. By referencing the communist’s states that have propagated the ideal of war in their countries such as Russia and Germany, Palmer asserts that communism was set to sweep across the American institution of law and order by propagating violence and war. As such, the communists posed a real danger to the United States as they were conspiring to start a revolution. Palmer noted that different American institutions were being threatened by the communist party including the Institution for Law and Order. Additionally, the communists threatened the home of American workers, churches, school institutions, and the American homes.
