Over the course of my RN-BSN program, I have been able to learn about the healthcare delivery models and the roles of nurses in the public health programs. Effective implementation of evidence based practices require an establishment of proper structures and systems to promote key stages and processes (Burns & Grove, 2010). Also, lean process has been found to significantly improve the evidence based practices since it addresses key factors in EBP. Therefore, empirical studies have encouraged the health sector to incorporate lean improvement processes with EBP models (Burns & Grove, 2010). Moreover, empirical studies have found that patients expect EBP practices as tool for enhancing their safety though, most of the time this practice is not accorded to them.
