Instructions for Oral Presentation: Download Instructions for Oral Presentation:
1) Please choose one quantitative study done by a nurse from your literature search to select for a PowerPoint presentation. This may be the same study as the research critique.
2) The student will produce a PowerPoint presentation or creative video presentation of this research study, using the guidelines found in your textbook and the supplemental reading. (limit to 5-7 minute PowerPoint presentations)
1st slide: Title of Article, author, journal & year; student name
2nd slide: Purpose (aims, hypothesis- what were they trying to find out?)
3rd slide: Methods (What did they do?)
4th slide: Results (What did they find out?)
5th slide: Implications (Would you put this into practice?)
3) Students will present their research articles with a ten-minute detailed overview of the study and critique in voice-over PowerPoint/ creative video. Your presentation should speak to the strengths & weaknesses identified in your research critique paper.
Please post your Oral Presentation: voice-over PowerPoint presentations or Videos here (Links to an external site.). This is a link to a One Drive folder, sign in with your Emmanuel email and password, and upload your PowerPoint in this folder. THEN copy the link to YOUR presentation file and post that link in your discussion Reply post below.
Students will listen to at least 4 other presentations and reply with positive feedback or comments on specific aspects of the other studies.
