Child adoption is a common practice in many City-States across the world. This practice is mostly common in Countries that allows marriage between a man and a man or a lady and a lady. Different findings show that the issue of child adoption has increased due to the recent recognition of gay marriages in different City-States across the world. There are various laws that apply when gay families want to adopt a child. These laws vary from one State to another. This research paper addresses the issue of child adoption in gay marriages explaining in details the roles and the responsibilities of the gay family towards the parenting of the child, the rights that the gay families have in relation to the child adopted and the laws that governs adoption of children by the gay families in the world.
