Domestic violence is among the major social problems in the United States and the world as a whole. According to Bettinger-Lopez, Natelson, Brandt-Young, Romes, Carlson, Rubenstein, Thomas, (2011) is a complicated kind of violence since the since the intimacy of the relationship between the offender and the victim limits the reach of the law.
