Camp David Accords
The United States played a critical role in advancing the interest of justice in the period following the Second World War, just as much as it was controversial in its activities. In addition to extensively fighting the spread of communism, which most scholars in the contemporary society argue as having primarily intended to advance American position in the global society, the United States was a significant contributor to maintaining peace on the global platform. President Jimmy Carter’s contribution to the Camp David Accords and consequent peace resolution between Egypt and Israel serves as a primary source of evidence on the role the United States played in advancing peace in the Middle East by helping draw to conclusion one of the most contentious issues experienced by Egypt and Israel.
