Change in an organization is always desirable if it enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of various activities that are undertaken. However, change is not always desired by employees and some of the managers. There are several reasons why proposed changes in an organization may fail. One of the major reasons is due to resistance. Resistance happens where some of the people within the organization feel that the change does not contain their interests at heart (Senior, & Swailes, 2016). Such resistance can undermine the role that a given change is supposed to play. Another reason why change may fail is due to poor communication.
