Rough Draft
Veterans Health
According to the American Public Health Association (2014), there are about half a million homeless veterans in the United States, with about 300,000 of them spending a night on the streets every night. This alludes to the extensive challenges experienced by veterans post-war, and the higher risk to homelessness compared to the rest of the civilian population (APHA, 2014). Notably, homelessness is one of the most prominent social issues in the American environment, with those that suffer from the challenge often experiencing stigmatization and challenges associated with the alleviation of their condition due to access to resources. Therefore, it would be critical to invest in measures that appropriately shield the Veterans from social and emotional challenges associated with their deployment to different wars.
