The assigned readings delve into the gender disparities that exist in an intimate part of our lives, our sexuality. Sex or sexual intercourse has over time been overlooked to not include disparities that may at times lead to loss of the meaning of sex and sexual pleasure among humans. For example, it is often perceived that sexual assault perpetrators are often men whereas the victims are always women. This may be true in most cases although there are also other instances where men are forced into unwanted sex by women. It is often perceived that men are more likely to take advantage of a sexual position and this often leads many to have sex although this was part of unwanted sex.
