In the year 2004, the international community and American society were shocked by the news which was circulating stating sexual and physical abuse of prisoners in Abu Ghraib at the American Military prison which is also known as Baghdad correctional facility. The photographs used showed American soldiers posing with the prisoners who were arranged in very demeaning sexual positions (Tamdgidi, 2007).
