Research problem
The constructed gender and race among the American-African proved the racialized gender roles that were defined for them (Isom, 2007). This made the African-Americans to be the victims of the discrimination. Thus, through internalizing the perception the African-Americans became the slaves to what others thought and believed about them. Hence, as a result Africa-American children usually find themselves in multiple identities thus hindering them from discovering their original identity.
