Incidence response is a crucial strategy for businesses and organizations that are applied in the event of a security breach that aims at addressing the consequences and restoring normal operations. An incidence response plan is official documentation of the incidence response strategy of a company that contains the respective actions that address specific incidents aimed at limiting the impacts of an attack and reduce the recovery time (Kruse II & Heiser, 2001). There are various stakeholders in an incidence response plan:
a) The legal counselor – A legal expert is required during the drafting of the plans in order to provide information on the different legal implications that the company will be liable to in the event of a security breach.
