Wow! How did you like the ending to this one? As always, you may talk about any aspect of the story, but if you are stuck, here are a few things to ponder:

What do you think about the grandmother?

Do you think the Misfit would have killed them if the grandmother kept quiet?

Were there parts of the story that foreshadowed the ending?

Solution Preview

The end of the story is tragic. It involves the deaths of the grandmother, her son, her daughter in law and three of her grandchildren. I did not like the ending of the story since the deaths of the five persons met the Misfit. However, the conclusion does portray a moment of grace which is showed by the grandmother towards the Misfit.
