Can you write a journal on album covers?
You will pick an artist with at least eight studio albums. You will then, using terms and processes we cover in class, analyze and interpret the album covers and the visual elements they contain, explore the storytelling that occurs within and across the album covers, and then interpret what the overall story of the album covers might tell you. To do that, you first need to pick the artist you hope to cover with this project. In this first step, you will need to tell me the artist you’ve chosen and why you have chosen him or her or it. Take a paragraph to discuss the artist and his or her history and then another paragraph or two to discuss your history with the artist. And then list the albums that you will analyze and interpret over the bulk of this project. Again, the artist will need at least 8 studio albums under his or her belt to be eligible for this project, but you will also need to have a total of ten albums (available as compilations, remixes, live albums, etc.). We want to see the visual story of the artist across a substantial and, as best as possible, complete run of albums. As always, these first steps should run about 500 words and five paragraphs
