The study explores the effects of traffic improvement on infant health. To ascertain the relation between traffic congestion and infant health, the study explores the introduction of electronic toll collection (E-ZPass) that have had a significant impact on the reduction of traffic congestion and vehicle pollutant emissions in the surroundings of the highway toll plazas. Specifically, the study sought to ascertain the effect of traffic improvement on infant health by studying the population near the highway toll plazas.
