Boundaries are fundamental to team management and development thereby highlighting that they must be taken into account. To work together, the teams set clear boundaries to know the members of the team and the specifics required from them (Joshi, Pandey & Han, 2009). Setting clear boundaries is effective as this limits the problems associated with unclear boundaries such as conflicts. Besides, setting clear boundaries within the team reduces multitasking and fosters autonomy (Somech & Khalaili, 2014).
