Data and Information Governance: Merrilton Bank
All organizations, including financial institutions, need effective data governance to manage data as strategic assets to address their needs and goals more effectively. Data managers and data analysts are essential to equip organizations with the data acumen needed to collect data, extract patterns and facts from that data, and utilize those facts to make inferences that influence decision-making. When designing and developing a data-driven application, data governance will oversee the operation and evolution of essential capabilities to consistently manage data assets as well as the associated risks, such as security, privacy, data loss, and errors.
For this task, you will use the attached “Merrilton Bank Case Study” to analyze, assess, and prioritize people, technology, processes, and content, and propose an infrastructure needed to support a financial institution’s new expedited loan program being developed to support individual banking activities aligned with applicable laws and regulations.
