There will be TEN EIGHT text reports (short-paragraph reflections of Textbook readings):  Each report carries 2.5 percent except 7/8 and 9/10 which worth 5% each. Task: Read the assigned chapters/articles/theories, identify one theme from each chapter/article, and briefly write about how they relate to your life.

Rubric: (a) introduction – -your perception of the entire chapter/article, (b) discuss the themes you like in the chapter in relation to your experience/life, and (c) conclusion — synthesize the themes. No more than one page, single-spaced.

Introduction
Violence is an act of hurt, damage or the act of killing to which a person engages in or does to another person. Violence can also be referred to as being brutal, barbaric, savage, cruel and inhumane. Violence frequently involves strong emotions that are usually of a destructive nature. The emotions could range from wildness to seeking power, the need to use force on things and fury.
Chapter Perception
In this chapter, violence is mostly perceived as acts of hurt and damage that a person does to oneself or others.
