History Civilization Discussion
This assignment asks you for a short answer discussion based on your readings of a historical document (primary source) – Excerpts from the Code of Hammurabi. You will read the excerpts from the Code of Hammurabi and discuss what the code tells us/reveals about the structure of ancient Babylonian society.
Grading: An “A” response will fully answer the assignment and thoughtfully engage with the document and other course materials to give context to the document. A “B” response may respond to the question, but perhaps not answer it fully or engage with lecture/course readings to support the answer. A “C” response may address the question/prompt but will lack depth. A “D” or “F” response will not respond to the question, not meaningfully engage with the document or with our course materials to bring the document into context.
