Mental health issues form one of the principal challenges that most veterans in the United States struggle with. The existence of an ideal structure to provide the veterans with easily accessible and quality healthcare would significantly reduce the health challenges associated with problems such as PTSD, for a population that dedicated part of their lives to ensuring ideal welfare for the rest of American population through military service. Consequently, ensuring that the veteran population can easily access the healthcare services is highly consequential to providing the best healthcare services to this population of Americans.
The state provides limited information on its commitment to helping veterans suffering from mental health issues, and instead passes on the issue to the federal Department of Veterans Affairs.
