Competence-Based Performance Review
One of the primary advantages of the competence-based performance review lies in the potential for identification of areas of weakness for the employees, based on consistent performance in various assessment processes. In particular, if the management noticed a negative change in performance of the employees in one area in the long term, then it would be possible to develop an approach that could effectively improve organizational performance by addressing the issue in question (Draganidis & Mentzas, 2006).
