Unity of Command
The military strategy used by a company or troop in the field of battle is always a lesson for consequent battles and wars in which the same army could engage. Some of the military approaches used in the contemporary society’s wars are a product of lessons learned through the World Wars, in which case military commanders always make an effort not to replicate mistakes previously made, repeat what they may have done to succeed, and try to counter aspects that could have made the enemy successful in any possible encounter. In essence, military strategy includes much dependence on history, to understand aspects of encounters in history that could have led to challenges or successes by a particular team on the field.
