Social contract theorists

Hobbes considers human beings as individuals whose needs never seem to be satisfied since they yearn to get more supremacy. This view of the nature of man leads him to come up with social contract theory which centres the start of states, laws and the impacts of regulated communities on an individual(Morris, 2000).

Hobbes illustrates the image of the natural state as a war against all in a world dominated by the state of chaos with individuals acting in their best personal interest.
